The handling & shipping cost will become a much lower percentage of your total. If possible smaller frames will be nested within larger frames to decrease the size of the box and therefore the shipping charges.

ORDER FRAMES UNASSEMBLED
With our wedge system, you can assemble the frame yourself. Because it is shipped unassembled, the box size and therefore the shipping is much less. See framing advice for how to assemble frames with wedges.
The cost difference is is much greater on oversize boxes. A 30 x 40 frame with packaging is over 130″ and goes into the oversize category (48 +37+37+7+7=138) In this example, ordering an unassembled frame will save you $153.00.
